How to install
Android asks for permission because the app is not from the Play Store yet. This is normal for apps downloaded from a website.
Remove any old test version
If you installed an earlier AskAsha test version, uninstall it first (long-press the icon → Uninstall). Otherwise Android says "App not installed".
Tap "Download the app"
If Chrome asks whether to keep the file, tap Download anyway.
Open the downloaded file
Tap the notification, or open Files → Downloads and tap the AskAsha file.
Allow the install
If you see "For your security, your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps", tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, then go back.
Tap Install, then Open
If Play Protect shows a warning, tap More details → Install anyway.
Register
Open AskAsha, enter your mobile number and type the 6-digit OTP.
First login: set up your profile
Do this once, right after your first login, so the app shows the right course and semester for you.
Open your profile
Tap the round badge with your initials at the top right of the Home screen, then tap Profile.
Fill in your details
Enter your name, college and current semester. Check that your course says BSc Nursing.
Save
Tap Save. Your initials and semester update straight away.
Set a daily study goal
Go to My Progress and choose how many minutes you want to study each day (for example 30 or 45). Home shows how much you have done today.
Updating the app
When a new version is out, download it again from this page and install it over the old one. Your account and progress stay the same.
